MEET THE FOUNDER
Hi, I am Folakemi Niyi Ojelabi. I am a minister of the gospel, a serial lover of God, Prophetess, a sound teacher of the word, the author of 3 eBooks, a visionary and a coach.
I was born in Nigeria where I gave my life to Christ and got filled with the Holy Spirit when I was only 12 years old. I have been living in the United States since 2009 after my parents relocated me and my siblings.
I am a naturalized citizen of the United States, a Registered Nurse by profession. I currently reside in the state of Texas.
My calling into ministry began in 2014 while attending a church in Florida where I began to preach, prophesy, and teach the word of God under the leadership of Pastor Gipson.
In 2019, I was inspired by God to start a group. At the time, I did not know what the group would be like or who it was for. I just knew it was a Christian group.
I later received confirmation a few months after from a pastor at the church that this group in my spirit was for women.
I began to see a need for a community where women who love God can grow and mature in their personal and spiritual life while helping them connect with each other in a meaningful way to advance the kingdom of God.
As you know, women can easily feel lost with all the pressures and demands from home and work. Some are stuck in a cycle of church and do not really feel like they can make a difference in the world for Jesus. Some are isolated and have no safe place to grow.
The Watchful Women community was created shortly after as a solution to that need.
The model is that of an online ministry with the opportunity for members to meet physically for local events, meet and greets and various outreaches and programs.
In 2020, during the Covid outbreak, some of the communities in Nigeria benefited greatly as our members helped respond to the food shortage caused by the global crises.
The team in Nigeria has since grown tremendously with members in different states within the country.
I believe it is time to build a strong community in the United States.
My desire is that through the Watchful Women Community, women from all nations, tribes, and nationality can become vibrant in their faith as they find purpose, true contentment, and joy in serving Jesus.
My goal is to help you become a woman set on fire for Jesus, no matter where you live and that your life in turn will influence the lives of those around you.
