By now, you may be wondering who I am and why I created this.
NICE TO MEET YOU
I am Folakemi Ojelabi
I am a minister of the gospel, a passionate lover of God, a sound teacher of the word, the author of 3 eBooks, a visionary and a coach.
I created the Watchful Women community firstly because I was inspired by God during one of my prayer times to start a group where believers can fellowship with each other.
I obeyed after getting a confirmation from a dear Pastor in my local assembly that this group was a women's group.
I summoned the courage to start a women's group on Facebook even though I did not have all the details. I started the Watchful Women Community as a 'prayer' group and trusted the Lord to lead and guide me.
As time went on, God began to give more clarity to what I was doing and he also expanded my vision. I began to see a need for a community where women who love God can grow and mature in their personal and spiritual life while helping them connect with each other in a meaningful way to advance the kingdom of God. I started to see the transformation that takes place when women get together for the glory of God.
Let me share a little about myself.
I was born in Nigeria and lived there most of my adult life until my parents relocated me and my siblings to the United States in 2009. I am a Registered Nurse by profession and a Real Estate Agent. I reside in the state of Texas.
My journey of faith in Christ began about 26 years ago when I gave my life to Christ and got filled with the Holy Spirit. I was about 12 years old.
I fell in love with God as a young child and I have not looked back. My journey has been from glory to glory.
I began to sense a call to ministry when I lived in Florida and served my local church. My Pastor was instrumental in helping me discover the call of God in my life. He gave me an opportunity to preach and to minister to the people of God.
I also grew more in my faith and character as a believer. In 2013, I married my best friend Niyi Ojelabi who has given me the unrestricted room to serve God and to be used by him.
Starting the Watchful Women community was a big leap of faith. I had to trust God every step of the way and he has indeed proved himself faithful. I am full of joy and praise God when I see women coming together and starting a fire that cannot be quenched by darkness. This fire started with the Watchful Women Nigeria and I believe it will take over the United tates.
My desire is that through the Watchful Women Community, women from all nations, tribes and nationality can become vibrant in their faith as they discover purpose and find true fulfillment and joy in serving Jesus.
My goal is to help you become a woman set on fire for Jesus, no matter where you live and that your life in turn will influence the lives of those around you.
